The teeny town of Sopchoppy in the Florida Panhandle has a population of less than 500 souls. But it’s world famous for its annual “Worm Grunting Festival.” Worm Grunting (or worm charming) is a technique that creates vibrations in the ground by rubbing metal slabs against wooden stakes. When done right, the vibrations drive the worms crazy and they come crawling out of their holes where they can be used as fishing bait!
